Dozens of vehicles, upwards of 40, were involved in an accident on I-96 westbound near Fowlerville Thursday morning.
Michigan State Police says there are reports of at least two people dead. The Livingston County Sheriffs Office says multiple people were injured in the accident that occurred around 10 a.m. They say slick roads and white-out conditions appear to have caused the crash. Officials have shut down both westbound and eastbound lanes. Eastbound I-96 is closed at M-52 and westbound I-96 is closed at Fowlerville Road.
