To account for an increase in insurance claims for 2010, the township is appropriating $100,000 that will be paid for in the 2011 budget. The township council unanimously approved a resolution Dec. 16 to take this action. According to Bridgewater Township Administrator Jim Naples, the last two claims the township received were for $100,000 and $200,000, which brought the township above what it normally sets aside for insurance each year.
