An industry trade group is questioning the worth of a self-styled "task force" of attorneys that is offering free legal services and a non-profit Web site, for victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with insurance issues. They may not be "the best solution for helping people," warned a representative of Alliance of American Insurers. Members of the task force, which includes coverage attorneys and other professionals, who are coordinating their efforts with the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, are providing pro-bono insurance advice and information about how victims of the terrorists attacks can make claims under life, workers' compensation, business interruption, liability, homeowners', or other insurance policies, according to the task force.
