Louisiana’s insurance market has recovered, regulator says

Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon told Alexandria Rotary Club members Tuesday that the state’s property insurance market is "more competitive than ever." Donelon, speaking at Alexandria Convention Hall, also reminders attendees about the importance of having flood insurance. "We are recovered (in the property insurance market) beyond my expectations, with more companies doing business in our state today than were doing business in our state the day before (Hurricane) Katrina hit," he said.
