Texas Homeowners Suffer Thefts Of Roofing Materials

Some of them have waited weeks to finally get their roofs repaired after massive hail damage. Now thieves have put them right back to square one, and it’s happening more and more in neighborhoods across north Texas. Police are seeing a spike in thefts of roofing materials in both Richardson and Plano. A huge stack of shingles was delivered to Mike Presz’s driveway right off an alley, and by the next morning almost everything was gone. Presz is not alone. He says the majority of his neighbors have to get new roofs after back-to-back hail storms left entire communities in need of repairs.
